This isn’t directly about my writing. Many of us are overwhelmed in the face of huge global problems. It’s easier to despair than to do something. There are some folk who just get in there, start somewhere and try to make a bad situation better. Two of these folk are Jayne and Rob Holland, neighbours of ours in Penboyr, who run Veganishmum, a local pop-up restaurant.

They are planning a FOURTH humanitarian trip to the Ukraine, this time taking a load of small generators to where they are most needed. Jayne and Rob’s efforts are undeniably extraordinary and admirable, whatever your political persuasion. They have made, and continue to make, a difference. Their current target is another £4000 plus in the next MONTH, (I don’t know the exact figure as it’s constantly updating), so they can buy all the generators they’re planning to deliver. I’ve every confidence that they will achieve this.

If you buy either of my currently-in-print titles from me, (by email, messenger or my website), in the next month, I’ll donate £2 per book sale to the Hollands’ Ukraine campaign. Thank you.
